Hi,

in Maxine's reply (1st post in response to mine) she mentioned that weirdly her scalp tenderness had come back at around 7-8 months. Well I'm 7 months next week, and for the past week I've had scalp tenderness and a sore head pain on the AN side, radiating around where the pin site was.

Just thought I'd post that for the record (in the continuing parade of symptoms that appear 6 month plus post SRS)!

Hi, in answer to your questions nftwoed:

I can't see the back of my head but the front pin sites have disappeared apart from a tiny dent. The area at the back of the head which has recently started to hurt is around where I had the most painful pin site at the time of SRS and afterwards took the longest to heal. I did have the head frame on for around 10 hours and it was fitted somewhat lopsided. As I mentioned, Maxine had reported a similar experience at around 7/8 months.

It could be referred pain I suppose, as it is behind and below the ear on the AN side. It's mostly a sore ache, some sort of nerve damage maybe? Odd the way things come and go. But it's bearable, if annoying. It's the worsening tinnitus and imbalance which are my major bugbear.

Re my dosage, I have looked up my report and it states: "12 Gray to the 80% isodose, max dose to the trigeminal nerve was 6 gray with average dose of 3 gray, left cochlea max dose of 9 gray with an average 5.76 gray. If you can make sense of that! I had Linac on a fairly old machine. But hey, it's the UK.

Hope you're all well today.

Alison.
