17 days post surgery
« on: March 01, 2013, 01:50:04 pm »
17 days, wow,  I want my 21 year old son to post a you tube video to encourage people that it is possible to recover from a 13.5 hour trans-lab surgery this quickly.  He experienced some sleep disturbances (probably due to steroids) for a few days after getting out of the hospital but only used a cane for confidence for one day and now has basically resumed normal daily activities.

We are very pleased with the care and facilities at the St. Luke's Neuroscience Institute here in Kansas City.

I sincerely appreciate all of the information here on the discussion board.

Charles ~

We appreciate your kind words for the ANA discussion forums.  Congratulations to your son on his remarkable recovery.

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.
