Does anyone else have an ABI (Auditory Brainstem Implant)?

I had mine fitted about a year ago. How are you doing with it? i'm doing great but sometimes i don't wear it cause i sometimes like the silent world. Do you do sign lanuage aswell?

Hi,
Do u mind giving me a little bit more information about what an ABI is? iv lost hearing in my left ear after my operation and find it really difficult being in social situations. Does an ABI just send all the vibrations to the good ear or does it actually help you hear from your damaged ear?
