For women--menstrual cycle and symptoms
« on: July 18, 2006, 10:34:09 am »
Anyone else notice that their symptoms fluctuate with their menstrual cycles?  I always get a little better with my period and right after.  Before my surgery my symptoms were always strongest the week or so before my period and then would get better once it started.  Now my facial paralysis seems to improve the tiniest bit.  Today I was feeling good and voila...my period.

Thoughts?

Me too Amy! I have noticed that my post op issues are worse 10 days to a week before my period. It unfortunetly has been like this for 8 years. My doctor told me that alot of his AN patients complain about the same problem. Damn hormones >:(

I know I've been having all sort of hormone problems since I presented with symptoms and still haven't completely settled down...I think there is def. a correlation!
