Dr. Samuel Levine -- Minnesota
« on: July 13, 2011, 02:18:26 pm »
Hi --

I had 30 Radiation Treatments last year for a 3CC Acoustic Neuroma.  Treatments went well until this year.   I have loss of hearing in my Left ear since I was a child.   Now, my Right ear has always been my strong ear.   I knew that something was wrong last year with my Right ear, because I lost all of my hearing in that ear.

Starting in February of this year, I have had echoing in my AN ear - driving me crazy.   I have had a repeat MRI and no change.      In the last 3 weeks --- I have lost most of my hearing in that ear.  I am very upset.    My Oncologist is sending me to the "U of M" for another opinion.   I will be see Dr Samuel Levine.

My question is ---- have any of you heard of him???   Thanks

Patt,

Sorry for the slow reply.  I met with Dr. Levine and Haines at the U last fall for a second opiniion.  Dr. Levine is very respected and comes highly recommended.  He has great bedside manner.  I eventually chose to work with Mayo based on reputation.  All things being equal I prefer to keep everything close to home.

Best of luck.
