Strange facial sensations
« on: July 02, 2006, 06:24:45 pm »
In the past couple days my affected side has been so tight and cramped and then it feels like someone is snapping my cheek with a rubber band.  Not pleasant at all.  No movement yet.  In fact, it seems like my mouth is a little LESS mobile lately.

But here is the strange thing.  My UN-affected side is tingling and numbish and feeling strange in spot like my nose and chin.  What's THAT all about? :'(

Hi Amymeri,

May I suggest some warm compresses to the surgery side of your face and some sort of massage to that area? The warm compresses really made my face feel better. Hope this helps? Ann

Hi. 11 months post op and I have been having twitches under my chin on the AN side, I think they're called tics. Also a lot of nose twitching too, like Bewitched! although I don't think it's visible to anyone!  Is this part of facial synkineses, does anyone know and is it a good sign?  My AN side nostril is still a bit pinched looking so maybe the twitching is nerves getting stronger, I hope.
