We will be having surgery
« on: February 14, 2011, 02:52:49 pm »
We will be having surgery! It will be done at the Methodist Hospital in Memphis by Dr Jon Roberson and Dr Bruce MacDonald. Not sure of the date yet but within the next 3 to 4 weeks. The tumor has more than doubled in size and is causeing some facial problems now. This has certainly been a journey. We have been watching this for nearly 4 years. Thanks to everyone who has listened to this story many times.

My husband had translab 3/15/2011 for 1.5 cm x 1.5 cm left side AN at
Methodist University Hospital in
Memphis, Tn

Freda ~

Congratulations on securing a surgery date for your husband.  I know he has been through various medical problems the past few years and I hope and pray that this surgery goes exceptionally well and is ultimately successful, with no real complications.  You both deserve a break!  Kindly keep us updated, as time allows.  Thanks.

Jim
4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Best wishes for a successful surgery and quick healing.  Just a few weeks and he will be "on the other side". :)
