Was rolled around on a bed for a while. And then the Doctor basically pleaded with me that he had been up all night in surgery with someone else. And that he would go on if I wanted but it would have been in my best interest if I didn't have a doctor so tired.

What would you say?

I said "Go home to your wife and get some sleep".

I do NOT have another date set and my ENT is probably not happy.

What a great surgeon that would admit that he was tired and ask you to consider another date!  I love a Dr. who doesn't think they are invincible!!  I know that waiting stinks but I think you will be VERY glad you made this decision!!

Why would your ENT NOT be happy with this??

Frustrating situation for you I'm sure. But I echo Kaybo's sentiments and add that you really want a well-rested doctor working inside your skull. Especially since you don't know how long your surgery will end up being.

Try to stay relaxed...good luck!

Sorry to hear about your postponed surgery. What a let down to be practically rolled into the OR, but thankfully your surgeon was honest with you.
I would have done the same. Hopefully they can reschedule ASAP since you were there and in the "books." Maybe they can postpone someone else's  and you can have their spot.
Hey, it's only fair :) Let us know your new date.......

Meanwhile, just take it easy......
