A good day!!
« on: May 23, 2010, 03:48:05 pm »
Yesterday was a great day because we celebrated two graduations. One niece graduated from high school in the morning, then we drove 2 hours to SF for her sister's graduation from San Francisco State University. What made this day so much more enjoyable was not having any headaches interrupting the day. And it gets better...I didn't take any pain meds. Yes, it was a great day!!!!

Syl .....

Thanks for posting this.  Sometimes we get on a roll here about how bad things are and we forget that we can rejoice in the small (actually big, when you come to think about it) successes, like no headache for the day!  I am a firm believer that even though many things are out of our control (like recurring headaches), we can control our emotional response to them ..... some days better than others.  Knowing there will be good days ahead helps us to make it through the bad days.

Yes, it was a great day!

Isn't it amazing how what other people take for granted, we find the need to celebrate!  Yes, a headache-free day is a rare thing indeed.  I always have about a level 3 headache that never goes away.  I have learned to live with it.  I am really grateful, however, to not be in the same boat I was in 5 or 6 years ago.  I try to be grateful for the progress I have made (I said TRY, it don't always work!)

I am really glad you had a good day, Syl.  Nice to have a little "normal" in your life for a change, right?

Hugs,

I want to clafiry something. I have lots of good days. But when I do something fun such as going out of town for the day...it often gets interrupted by a headache. So many times I don't feel like doing something fun or feel like going anywhere because of the headaches.

Yes, life is feeling more "normal". I can do more without dreading the darned headaches.
