Ok guys-- I'm posting pictures---- I myself never saw much improvement until month 6-- Which was right around Turkey day-- Now I'm a few days shy of 10 months-- Notice the pics of me taken @ about 5-6 months post op-- I was a HB grade 5/6 when I woke up from surgery-- Let me know if this post works for the pics-- Im trying to link photo bucket..

Yes your post worked good!   Is the last picture with the smile from 5-6 months ago too???? You didn't say.   It looks great, much better so I was figuring it was newer.??

Glad to see things 'can' improve some!  Hope it keeps coming for ya.

Right 3cm AN diagnosed 1/2007.  Translab resection 2/20/07 by Dr. David Kaylie and Dr. Karl Hampf at Baptist Hospital in Nashville.  R side deafness, facial nerve paralysis.  Tarsorraphy and tear duct cauterization 5/2007.  BAHA implant 11/8/07. 7-12 nerve jump 9/26/08.

Thanks for having the 'braveness' to post your photos.  As others have stated - correctly - your progress is excellent and you look great!  This kind of positive progression is not uncommon and we are eternally grateful to those, like you, who put aside their vanity and/or natural reluctance and post their photos, showing their increased healing and regaining of facial mobility lost in AN surgery.

Bravo, Darren!  May your healing continue apace.  :)

Hearing lasted a while, but left side is deaf now.
Right side is weak too. Life is quiet.

your face looks great darren, i too had grade 5/6 palsy, my face is beginning too look good and that is nearly over 3 years.

Left AN 2.5CM,retrosigmoid 11/2008, second surgery to repair CSF leak. 
Headaches began immediately.  Dr. Ducic occipital nerve resection, December 2011!!!!!

LOL @ Nancy's post!  ;D  I just have to wait for my upper lip to pull its own weight and I will be satisfied-- A few months shy of that glorious 1 yr anniv--- Only this time I will celebrate it out of the hospital! And with alcohol as opposed to Iv's woohooo!!
