Gold Weight Removed
« on: April 14, 2006, 08:36:41 pm »
When I had my gold weight put in the doctor assured me that it's reversible.  Then I had to have a lower eyelid lid and a tarsorrphy. Again I was assured that both of these procedures were reversible.  My question is has anyone had any of these procedures reversed because they didn't need them anymore?  As in the facial paralysis went away.

I had  a tarrsorphy     at first for a couple of months then reversed.  I also still have a gold weight in which I am possibly having taken out or a lighter one put in because it is so heavy I can't keep my eye open all the way.  Also have the inner corner taken in.  I don't have feeling in that eye either.  My surgery was Dec. 2003.      My facial nerve was severed so I had the 12/7 nerve graft done.  I am seeing Jackie Diels for facial therapy..  Karen
