« on: April 26, 2005, 01:29:02 pm »
I am having my translabyrinth surgery on May 3rd....yikes, anxiety is really setting in. BUT....I just got the news that the insurance will pay for the surgery to install the Baha Implant but not for the hearing device itself..........anyone know of help out there for these implants????
Thank you so much......

I don't know about financial help for the device but I would get the implant at the time of surgery and then have your doctor continue getting the insurance to pay for the device.  Talk to the insurance dept at Entific.

I had my surgery 1 yr ago and am not contemplating the BAHA. It would be a much easier decision if I didn't need to undergo another surgery.

Good luck next week.
