Looking Up....dizzy!
« on: September 13, 2009, 04:39:08 pm »
I'm fairly new with balance problems since I didn't have balance issues pre-GK.  Balance test in July indicated that I have lost 71% of my balance nerve (bummer).  I've never had this happen before.  Earlier today I was in a restaurant watching the BRONCOS on an overhead TV.  When I looked up to watch the TV, I got dizzy....sort of motion sick.  I guess this is par for the course.  I am looking into vestibular therapy.  Is this helpful?

Nancy

P.S.  BRONCOS won!!!  What a great game.....last minute touchdown.

Hey, Nancy!  You know already about my vestib excercises (which I have not been doing like I'm supposed to ;) ), but I just wanted to say that I love that you have a picture now...and it's a great one!  Looking up, though, is the worst thing for me - I experience my "problem" most when I'm serving a game in tennis...Hopefully, your other side will start compensating for your AN side soon!

Be glad you're a Bronco's fan, I get dizzy 100% of the time I watch the Lions.   ::) Sorry, I don't have any serious comments about vestibular training.

I love trees, and I am not a radical tree hugger by any means!!!.  Just thought it was a funny pic, and I wasn't expecting it to post since I am a computer dummy.  Hopefully I can figure out how to post a better pic later.  Hoping to get the vestibular therapy set up soon.  It is aggravating to have new stuff coming up with balance issues.  Just when I thought everything was going great with the GK, this popped up.  Don't understand why, but I know there are a lot of people trying to figure out why unexpected things have come up after treatment, too.  And, wondering why ANs happen in the first place.  Funny post Darin.  I needed a good laugh.  Since the Broncos have had major changes this year (new coach, new quarterback), we are just relieved now that we won't be 0-16 this year!!!
