hearing restoration
« on: April 21, 2005, 04:25:30 am »
I have a recurrent acoustic neuroma.  Surgery, followed by gamma knife, was my treatment.  My hearing nerve is intact, but have little hearing,  I have been told that Shea Ear Clinic in Memphis, Tenn. has sometimes been able to help acoustic neuroma patients improve theit hearing.  Does anyone have any experience with Shea?

Hi
I have no direct experience with 'Shea' but understand they pioneered a treatment for Menieres Disease. It is a steroid 'perfusion'. I can't recall the exact names of the drugs utilized.
Their first clinic remains in Chicago. One might consider Dr Hain in Chicago as well.
  Best wishes to you!!
