Dry eye - glasses
« on: November 03, 2006, 01:57:01 am »
I often have trouble wth wind in/on the the dry eye -
it seems to remove the protective gel in just minutes
(rain does the same)
Often I wear sunglasses to protect and also have clear glasses
for nightime or work applications - both seem to help
I have come accross wrap-around designs
for sport/outdoor/bad weather use
But normally the SKI type cost £80 over here ($100 or more)
- and I tend to lose or break 4-5 pairs per summer !
But you can find the wrap around style much cheaper
Amazingly if you look under the heading "safety glasses" (- DIY store or NET)
many styles, both normal and wrap around (clear and tinted)
exist and often for around $10 or so.
I find the wrap around design most comfortable in harsh weather
reducing both wind and rain - and allowing me  to see much longer
check it out ?
Best Regards
Tony

Hi Tony - I know what you mean.  Yesterday it was rainy & windy in Miami - the wind DOES dry the eye out, I feel the burning immediately, my regular glasses aren't enough.   End up holding my hand over my right eye.   Thanks for the info.   Nancy
