Regrowth after surgery
« on: September 08, 2015, 06:29:43 pm »
This is my first post. Not sure if I am doing this correctly. Anyhow. I was diagnosed with a 3.7 cm AN in February 2015 and surgery in March 2015 (doc thought he got 50-60 percent of tumor) and upon getting 6mo MRI it would be decided if I needed an additional surgery or Gamma Knife radiation. I just had my MRI I have the disc (which I looked at) and received the report today and the tumor grew to back to 3 cm. I am devastated. WAiting on a call from my neurosurgeon. Everything I read says that AN are normally slow growing. The remaining part of the tumor was just a curved piece at the top. Now it's a ball again. I have daily headaches, my balance is wobbly and my tongue is super tingly.trying to research as much as I can about Regrowth but there isn't much out there

Note:  I moved this to a new topic so it would be seen by more readers.  Thanks.  Clarice

I'm sorry to hear about these experiences. Thoughts and prayers are with you.  Are you considering going to somebody else?
