Surgery is tomorrow!
« on: May 28, 2013, 07:12:37 pm »
Tomorrow is my translab surgery to remove my AN at University of Michigan! I'm scared, but so ready for it to be over. I had a great long weekend with my kids. This morning I got to say thank you to my kids' teachers (in case I don't get to see them again today). I went to my last exercise class for a while and ran my a** off (not really, but I ran hard), went to lunch with my parents and some friends, did some stuff around the house, ran some errands, got a pedicure, and went out to dinner. It was a very nice day.

Now, all that's left to do is take a shower using anti-bacterial soap, try to sleep tonight, and take another shower with anti-bacterial soap in the morning. I won't get to sleep very long - I have to report to the hospital at 5:30 for my 7:30 surgery. I figure we need to leave home around 4:15-4:30 to make sure we get there on time. Lately, I have no problem falling asleep, but tend to wake up super early. I have a feeling the same thing will happen tonight.

Thanks to Connie Marie who I had the pleasure of meeting about a month ago, I have the magic scarf to bring me good luck!

I'll report back when I can! I do have a blog that my  mom will update if anyone is interested.

Some things in my life need to matter less, and other things in my life need to matter more.  So yes, I'm taking this as a "lesson learned experience."
