Weekend Camping! :)
« on: March 08, 2010, 02:55:52 pm »
For all of those that have wondered if there is life after AN surgery...  Here's a small taste of my weekend after having surgery not quite 2 years ago..  Enjoy!

Yes, we hiked in that terrain all the way to the falls..  I'd put my balance with the hike at about 90%, but my ailing knee at about 75% (have appointment with Orthopedic specialist 3/17)..  All in all, it was a great weekend!

So, to answer that question again... YES!  There is life after AN surgery...

Regards,
Brian

Brian ~

Thanks for posting the photos taken during your week-end camping/hiking trip.  The scenery is beautiful, the kids are adorable and you look great standing next to the lovely young woman I'll assume is your wife.

The photos help demonstrate that, indeed, there is 'life after AN surgery'.  I'm pleased to see that you're enjoying yours.  :)  Well done!

Jim

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

I don't actually "make" trouble..just kind of attract it, fine tune it, and apply it in new and exciting ways

Keri, yes, it was at Inks Lake State Park... if you're familar with the area, it's in the Burnet/Marble Falls/Lake Buchanan area...  It was beautiful there!

Thanks everyone who responded..  We had a wonderful time despite my bum knee and questionable balance at time.. ;)
