I am a "POSTIE"!
« on: February 06, 2010, 08:37:01 am »
Hi everyone,

Finally able to access a real computer (had to come to work to do it!).  My surgery went very well.  I am extremely blessed as I have not had any real issues!  No headaches!  No neckpain!!  Very little facial weakness!!  My eyes & brain seem to be catching up with each other.  A little "Wonkey Head" & a little seasick now & then.  "Life is good!"
I actually drove myself to work today & DID do paperwork!!  I am so excited!  I will nap all afternoon but I don't care.  I am not planning on coming back to work for real until mid March at earliest.  I plan on taking real good care of ME at this point.
Thank you all for all the encouragement & prayers.  It really meant sooo much to me & my family.  The Magic Scarf should be with KIWI on Monday.  I don't know how to describe the Scarf,  it truly has a very special Magic about it.  Thank you so much.

Love,
Lynn

That is great that you are a StAR Postie.   I am glad you are doing so well.   You are wise to take care of yourself.   Remember the TLC for 8 weeks before you go back to work full time!

Lynn ~

Congratulations on having a successful surgery and a fabulous recovery!  I love to see these kinds of 'success stories' from folks who've undergone AN surgery because, although we have to insert the caveat that every AN experience is different, the really good outcomes - such as yours - are especially encouraging to others contemplating AN surgery.  Thanks for sharing this.

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Congratulations, Lynn...now remember, we hang up the Wonder Woman Capes and put the boots in the closet and let our caregivers have a chance to show what they are made of.  Relax, get plenty of rest and be kind to you.  Prayers and good thoughts coming your way for the rest of this journey.
Hugs,
Brenda

Congrats Lynn!!! You got the right idea, let your body heal!  There might be times when things might come to a standstill and you may get discouraged...but these are usually temporary setbacks so hang in there.  Sounds like you are doing AWESOME though!
