Sher:

I'm sure the mask is fetching.  ;)

I wish you a fun and relaxing visit with your grandchildren as well as a smooth and ultimately successful CK treatment later this month.

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Sher -

have a great time with your daughter and grandbabies.

And post a picture of your mask for us - if you're comfortable with that idea  :)

Phyl,
Could you open your eyes at all in your mask?

Sher,

I could open mine in my mask - but you might want to think twice about doing that. Every now and then, if you are peaking out, you may open your eyes to see the Cyberknife head peering right back at you with its single big gentle eye! It can give you a start, and you don't want to move around on the table if you can help it.

Better to close your eyes and zone out, or even nap, and listen to the hum of the machines hum or your favorite music.  8)

Absolutely... but... I have long eye lashes and they will get stuck between the mesh holes :D  I slept through treatment... although... some "cheeky" folks here asked me to look for the "eye"... so, I did during treatment.. and I saw it and giggled.

No issues opening eyes during treatment....
