The count for dinner now stands at FOURTEEN . . . only one more brave soul needed to book the party room at Gino's.

About the pirate exhibit, when I looked into booking tickets online I saw that the last entrance time for the exhibit Thursday is 3:30 and the museum itself closes at 5:00 with admissions closing at 4:00. Is that going to be too early for those of you flying in? It's an eight-hour drive for us, so trying to arrive by 3:00 means leaving at 5:00 in the morning.

I'm not planning on doing anything at the symposium until Friday afternoon, so a Friday morning excursion is still doable. I still want to do dinner, though.

Thoughts?

OHHH...Our plane doesn't even land until 2:55...I know Capt'n Deb gets in earlier but I think Phyl gets in to O'HARE in the afternoon...I can always go on Sunday aafternoon (which was my original plan-after everyone was gone) so don't make plans around me!!  We'll figure this all out!

We arrived in Michigan yesterday to our daughters and Dad is now working on a project of putting in a new bathtub.      He is now saying that  if he gets done earlier than he thought, we come may to Chicago Weds.           So who knows.      We won't be able to get in to the Drake till in the afternoon Thurs.      I will know what I am doing as it gets done!     LOL!       I don't know if we will go to the pirate exhibit or the Science and Industry museum with Harry Potter.                  I am not giving up my Woodfield Mall stop anyway and hope for the either Sears Tower (now Willis Tower if that is right spelling) or the Hancock one.    We've been to the Sears one at day and night.
So won't be long till we all meet and hope it cools down also!                         Cheryl R

K is correct. My flight arrives into OHare at 2:15pm (pending no weather/flight delays) on Thursday, thus.... I may have to sit out the Pirate museum and just do dinner.

My flight leaves at an ungodly early hour from the west coast... having me up before the sun (not to mention the roosters) to catch it. Once I get to my hotel I'll need to recharge my batteries (per say).

I KNOW I will be a weary traveler... as I do not sleep on planes very well.

I will  skip all afternoon activities as it will take everything I can to muster up energy- to go for dinner.

But arbee dar- hey you maties go to the pirate museum without me

I'm a maybe because although I work nearby, it'll only be my second week back at the office, and I've been fading out and going home by around 3 p.m. so far! I'll just have to see how it's going by then!

It's looking like the Field Museum is not going to work out Thursday evening, so I am not going to try to leave at the crack of dawn to make it in by mid-afternoon. I will take the girls another time over the weekend.

I would like to do dinner, though, so shall we go ahead and set a time? With Lilan that makes fifteen, so could somebody please reserve a party room? We may yet recruit others.

I am booked solid the next two days with my son getting braces on, my middle daughter having doctor appointments, physical therapy, and a second foot surgery, plus a school board meeting and hearings for the man who caused the accident that killed my brother-in-law last spring. Did I mention the cat needs to go to the vet? I'm not quite sure when I am going to pack, off to do some laundry now before bed.

I'd kinda like to ask if someone else might be able to handle calling about the party room.

Thanks,
Sara

Here is a question - do we know for sure they will book a room if we have 15 or did we just "think" that from what Daisy found - Daisy, did they tell you that on the phone??  Just wondering...
