Chronic cough after cyberknife
« on: December 27, 2016, 08:59:39 pm »
I had cyberknife 4 months ago and have had a chronic cough for the past 3 months. Has anyone else experienced this?  I am not sick but I can't stop coughing or clearing my throat. I am wondering if this could be from the cyberknife.

I have been coughing for six years now following surgery, and four years following FSR. I would say it is possible, but probably very unusual. IN my case, my surgery was 32 hours long and there was paresis of the left vocal fold, as well as trauma to the nerves that control involuntary swallowing. You should talk to your doctor, but it may be unusual enough that he or she has nothing to really say.
