Oh dear, Steve .....

This is so unfair!  Yes, sometimes it does feel like one step forward, two steps backward.  Hopefully this next surgery will fix your problem once and for all and then it will be all steps forward!!

Many thoughts and prayers.

I will add my prayers also.  The major surgery is bad enough let alone having additional surgeries to correct things that pop up later.  I hope the next surgery is your last.
translab surgery of 2.6cm neuroma, right side, by Dr. Welling at Ohio State, 6-18-10.  BAHA base placed on same day.  Facial paralysis. Gold weight 7-14-10.

Steve -

I'm so sorry to hear this.

Jan
Retrosig 5/31/07 Drs. Battista & Kazan (Hinsdale, Illinois)
Left AN 3.0 cm (1.5 cm @ diagnosis 6 wks prior) SSD. BAHA implant 3/4/08 (Dr. Battista) Divino 6/4/08  BP100 4/2010 BAHA 5 8/2015

I don't actually "make" trouble..just kind of attract it, fine tune it, and apply it in new and exciting ways

Steve ~

Thanks for the update but I'm sorry it's not a good report.  I'll keep you in prayer for a successful, uncomplicated surgery and a good outcome.  Meanwhile, please stay connected here and try to keep us updated, when you can.  Thanks.

Jim
4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

I'm sorry to hear this. I hope you can get the problem fixed without complications.
Do they have to re-pack the area or is a new eardrum sufficient?

Best regards, Kenneth
