Yes, he did say why he does not recommend a second surgery. It is because of too many risks involved. He did not say exactly what those risks are.
 I told him I had read about the risks from Gamma Knife and he said those have diminished. He said when Gamma Knife first came out patients were given too high of a dose of radiation and the complications at that time was around 12-14 percent. He said they have reduced the dosage since then and the complications are now about 1 percent, which is a huge improvement. I did not know that until I talked to him.
