3 months post op today:)
« on: July 27, 2012, 10:06:46 pm »
Hello everyone,

Today, I celebrated my three month post op anniversary! I'm happy to report that my recovery has been amazing. My headaches are completely gone now. Yay. I've had no balance issues at all, so I'm back on my motorcycle. That was a big worry for me. I bought a new road bike last weekend and went on a 16 mile bike ride with some friends. That felt great. I would have gone out on more rides this week, but was too busy with work. I'm going out this weekend to ride more. Can't wait. Each morning after waking up, I feel so blessed to have recovered fully from this surgery. Well almost fully. I did lose hearing in my right ear and I have the tinnitus to deal with, but I'm healthy and strong and alive! And I'm still tasting salt on the side of my tongue (yuck).

I've been back to work full-time for three weeks and actually surprised all my employees by working full days. I've been going to the gym almost every day now for the past three weeks and feel great. My daughter and I are going to Cancun next month to celebrate life :) Well I just wanted to share this good news with all of you.

Take care

Great news Dave!! Glad everything went well and continues to go well for you. I am soooo jealous of your bike adventure. I so want a bike and had planned to get one but balance issues have put that on hold. My 3 month anni is tomorrow--unlike you, I still have balance issues and I'm going through a Baha rejection now. My head doesn't want it! lol Life is still good though. Things could have been worse so I am greatful for what I do have.

Have a great time in Cancun! Do you need a sitter for your bike?  8)
