Laz,

Are you still on dry ground?  Every time I see another report from your country I am amazed at the flooding and devastation.  This truly is a national and international disaster.

AM,

yeah the devastation is unbelievable. two thirds of the state of Queensland is under water. Queensland is equivalent to about 35% of the U.S in land mass. A number of peopl;e won't be insured either and the loss of life is just so wrong.

Fortunately I live in Sydney which is in the state of New South Wales. We are south of Queensland and whilst it has been wet, but normal wet. The country has just come out of a major drought and now floods. Its not fair.

Anyway,we soldier on. There is a tremendous amount of rallying for support in Oz which does show great spirit.

perhaps we should get the PBW sailing for the shores of Queensland to lend our support.

Laz -

I think you and your wife should change your holiday plans to Cincinnati in June.

It would be great if you could attend the symposium.

There is so much to see in the U.S and Canada, unfortunately we can only afford two weeks at present and have booked LA, NY and San Fran. 2 weeks is nowhere near enough but hey, its a start.

We are flying United and the reviews haven't been terribly flattering but hey, i think i'll drug up with the stilnox to try and sleep most of the trip so i don't focus on the headaches which I am not looking forward to.

We are really looking forward to the break. next trip we will do other destinations and maybe I'll line it up with the symposium. Date wise, we only had a narrow window so couldn't line it up this time.

My BFF from kindergarten lives in SF (suburb called Benecia) and Eric and I are dying to go traveling out west this spring.  I have not seen the BFF since freshman year in college (41 years?) All this depends on if the new pain quack can fix my sacrotuberous ligament in my sacroiliac which got totally trashed by a previous quack who left me in a wonky surgical position 3 hrs too long. Can't travel with the kind of back pain I am having right now, although my headaches, thanks to the Botox, are behaving better than usual.  Great if we could hook up out in SF--I've never been there before.

Whatcha think Master Laz?

Oh captain - that would be absolutely fantabulous. We are in SF between the 17th and 21st May.

Hopefully your body will let you get there.

Watch out east coasters - sounds like it is party time
