Joebloggs Update
« on: March 11, 2009, 03:55:06 am »
Here is a brief note from JB's friend Aimee.  Sounds like JB is doing well!
-----------------------
JB gave me your email address so I could pass on news about her AN surgery.  I've literally just heard that it went really well - they got all the tumour out and the facial nerve should be fine.  She's still in Recovery right now; I won't be able to see her until she's in the High Dependency Unit in a couple of hours, but I'll keep you posted on how she's going.

What a relief!!

Cheerio,
Aime
-----------------------
Thank you Aime!  Great news!

More news from Aimee...

JB is in the High Dependency Unit (don't you love that fancy name!) and having the 'first three days don't count' syndrome - swelling, nausea, dizziness, eating ice chips, and not really with it just yet.  BUT - Aimee also said that the surgeons are very happy with the results and no facial paralysis!

Aimee is a great friend to be there with JB - THANK YOU Aimee!

All our thoughts and prayers out to you, JB!
Sincerely,
Sue

Thanks to Aimee and Sue for the updates.

I'm so pleased to learn the effervescent JB came through the surgery O.K. and seems to be doing well, with no facial nerve involvement.  I'm sure she'll be out of the 'High Dependency Unit' quickly as that lady doesn't seem to be the high dependency type.  :)

JB:   Glad to hear all is well from Aimee.   You are going to feel quite fatigued,
so take it easy.   Take 'little' walks, & nap when your body tells you to.
It took me a couple of months before I could go back to work, but we're
all different,  sounds like you may be 'up & at 'em' sooner than me !

Continued healing my friend,  keep a peaceful heart.

Always good thoughts,   Nancy
