Surgery date set for April 7th...so I am going to enjoy my Florida trip from march 1 to 30..
I've taken 15 weeks off of work...Unfortunately I can no longer perform my job safely with being deaf on my left side.  So I dont know what I'll do. I can still do my in class portion of my job.  Oh well, one step at a time.

Hey JO!

Where in Florida are you going?  I'm in Tampa, and will be having my surgery on March 5th.  Enjoy your month in Florida, it's a great time of year to be here!

Jo ~

Congratulations on your surgery date.  Many folks will be thinking of you, sending good vibes and saying prayers for you around that time.  With your positive attitude, I think you'll do just fine.  :)

Oh, I took the liberty of adding your surgery date to the AN Treatment Calendar -  http://my.calendars.net/an_treatments/d07/04/2009?authenticate=&display=M&style=B

Please feel free to add more information, if you wish.  I just posted the basics.

Hey, Jo!  Congrats on setting your date - such a weight lifted, right...was for me, anyway :)

I'm heading to FL on Sat morning.  Will be in Fernandina (Amelia Island) over the weekend and then in Jacksonville til Thursday.  Perhaps we can manage to meet up somehow.  I'll send you a PM w/ my # and the particulars.

Enjoy your trip - hanging out in FL certainly seems like a good way to prepare for surgery to me!

Jo,
Congratulations on setting a date for surgery.  It really made me feel more at peace when I had my date.  I hope it does for you too.

Hanging tough Wendy! :)

JO,

I've never been to St. Augustine, but hear it's beautiful.   We spend all our Florida time between here, Miami, and the Florida Keys.

An update:

Jo has informed me that she is vacationing in Florida prior to her April 7th surgery, which will be performed at Ottawa, Ontario by the team of Doctors Benoit and Schramm.  Her AN Treatment Calendar entry has been corrected to reflect the updated information.  Whether in Florida or Canada, we still wish Jo a successful surgery and a smooth, rapid recovery.   :)
