BAHA and helmets
« on: November 19, 2008, 01:01:51 pm »
ok, I just read in another tread that the BAHA can interfere with a bike/ATV helmet???? There goes my hopes for a BAHA if that is the case...I own and ride an ATV and a helmet is a must when off private property....so that would leave me wth transear but I have small ear canals...may be a problem!!!!  so what is the CROS like????   Anyone????

You could still use a BAHA.  All you need to do is take it off when you are wearing your helmet.  By then way please wear your helmet on private property too.  My son has a severe traumatic brain injury from a car accident which happened when he was 20 years old.  He will be totally disabled for the rest of his life.  That's why I am such an advocate of helmets.

any outdoor activity I would remove the BAHA ..  raking leaves , fishing, jogging, to bike riding.... for me its no biggie .. I carry a pill box with one of thoese "no not eat" silicon packs... so when it rains or I just want to take it off for some reason ... I just pop it off and into the pill box until I'm ready.....
