Retrosigmond surgery on June 4th, 2008 for an AN. 100% hearing loss and facial paralysis (was not prepared for facial paralysis). Size: 2.3 cm, 2.1 cm, 1.8 cm. some tumour remains along facial nerve. Pray for no regrowth. Misdiagnosed for 10 yrs.

My facial retrainer is Cathey Norton at Vanderbilt. She trained under Jackie Diehls in Wisconsin. I go every 3 months.

Thank you Angie.  I'm going to give them a call.  I'm not sure at what point one is ready for facial retraining. I've got movement in the corner of my mouth and it is loosening up.  My surgeon told me the face couldn't be retrained after age 5.  I've heard too many positive outcomes here to believe that completely.  So I'm on my own to find one.
Translab 4/10/2008; 1.3 cm; total facial paralysis left side.
