This Week (10/27) in the Spooktacular AN World
« on: October 26, 2008, 07:00:37 pm »
After several active weeks of surgeries and procdures, we have a quiet week ahead.  One surgery and two birthdays.

On Tuesday, Gary from Canada is having surgery at Ottawa Civic Hospital.  I tried to find out what kind of surgery but I couldn't.  Regardless of what it is, best wishes for it and have a speedy recovery.

Then we have two birthdays.  On Monday, Mary (MaryBKAriz) is having her 60th birthday.  Don't worry Mary, 60 doesn't hurt until you say it to a teenager.  And on Thursday, Syl (Syl) is having her birthday.  Happy birthday to both of you.

And to the rest of you, have a great week and a Happy Halloween.

Though it is not on the calendar, I think Roger64 is having surgery on Wednesday - not sure what kind. So best wishes for that one too.

Happy Birthday Mary and Syl, and best wishes Gary, and thanks David for minding the calendar for us.

Steve -

Roger is scheduled for surgery on the 30th.  I just added it to the AN Calendar - and I hope I got the facts right.  If I didn't, someone please correct my entry.

Best wishes for a successful surgery, Gary.  Hope to see you soon as a postie  :)

Happy Birthday Mary & Syl - have some cake for me (I like chocolate)  ;)

Good luck, happy birthdays, and happy halloween!  I, of course, will be a Pirate!!  I have been waiting 6 months for a way to use this ridiculous smile to my advantage.  I may even drag out my eye patch ...  Oh, and I've got mini Mounds, Almond Joy (cuz sometimes you feel like a nut ...), Reese's and Hersheys.  I've had to hide them from Willie in fear that there won't be any left by Friday...

I just wanted to pop into this thread to tell you, Debbi , how much I enjoyed meeting you at the ANA/NJ mini-conference in Berkeley Heights last Saturday! For those of you on this forum who haven't met Debbi, I can assure you that she's just as personable and thoughtful as her posts would lead you to believe. And you shouldn't say that you have a "ridiculous smile" -- it looks great. I thought it was an interesting event, and particularly enjoyed the three doctors who spoke. My husband says that if he were young enough to pursue another career he'd like to go to med school and parlay his physics background into radiosurgery -- he is fascinated by it. There were quite a few folks there who are working courageously and with great optimism to find solutions to some of their post-treatment issues, as well as a number who are still in the decision-making process.  I'm glad I attended.
