It's fairly rare for docs to forget to remove a stitch, but it does happen.

If it were me, I'd contact the doctor and ask about this.

Retrosig 5/31/07 Drs. Battista & Kazan (Hinsdale, Illinois)
Left AN 3.0 cm (1.5 cm @ diagnosis 6 wks prior) SSD. BAHA implant 3/4/08 (Dr. Battista) Divino 6/4/08  BP100 4/2010 BAHA 5 8/2015

I don't actually "make" trouble..just kind of attract it, fine tune it, and apply it in new and exciting ways

I dunno..I had my son look at but hes 13 & said he did not see anything except a little scab.It feels really pokey not like the other part of the incision(scar).
I am waiting to have my sis take a look.

Sometimes, the internal stitches that are supposed to dissolve over time, don't.  I have that problem.  When they don't dissolve, they wind up working their way through the skin.  I had one removed by my primary (he's much closer to where I live than my surgeon) and then once I knew what it was, I just had my husband pull them out with tweezers if necessary.  I think it's really more annoying than anything.
