K -

I might not be the "sweet, innocent" sister, but I'm betting I read David's story long before you did.

Trumped ya!  :D

Jan's right.  She did see the story first.  But not the long version.  I don't even know where that is anymore.  There was one thing that had to be unfortunately left out -- my encounter with the MRI Tube o' Gloom.  Probably a good thing -- it would have scared too many away.

David -

I just love it when I'm right  ;) LOL

The MRI Tube o'Gloom sounds very sinister - I'm not sure if I'd like to read about it or not.

BTW, put me on the list for AN Jeopardy with you and Lori - sounds like lots of fun  ;D

I have to warn you, I happen to have a head full of useless knowledge, so I am pretty good at Jeopardy!  Something's gotta be in there, right?

Hey, got a birthday present from the ANA today - my newsletter finally arrived !!!!  ;D

David -

you ARE a good-looking guy both pre and post op  ;) and I enjoyed reading your article again.

I also liked the letters - especially the one by Francesco; very well written.

Now I'm looking forward to my December newsletter so I can sign up for the symposium  8)

I guess I'll have to wait until my birthday to get my newsletter.  I hope I get the December issue before next August.

Though I haven't yet received my newsletter through the mail, I did have the pleasure of meeting with Lainie and David for coffee last week, so I was finally able to take a look at the issue everyone's been talking about.

Lainie's letter, "Coping with the Psychological Impact of AN," and David's story, "A New Life, A New Adventure" were not only published in the same issue, but also on the same page! (Photo-op!)

Thanks David and Lainie, for sharing your stories with the rest of your AN family.

Cute, Cindy  ;D

I guess Lori will have to get out her magnifying glass for this one!

Maybe her newsletter came while she was in the hospital.  It will give her some reading material while she recovers.

I got my newsletter this past weekend--what a great article--the PBW finally made the ANA newsletter--we're famous, you scallies and wenches!

Thanks, David. I'm glad we could give you a little vicarious vaycay during a dark time.  I could really relate to seeing a career slipping away as I have watched my art career slip away as well. Maybe you have a new career as a writer in the works. The article really touched on the emotional side on what its like to go through this loss.

Big Hugs,
