Dr. Jho in Pittsburgh???
« on: September 04, 2008, 07:21:12 am »
Hi All and good morning,

I have read various references to Dr. Jho at Allegheny in Pittsburgh on this forum after doing a search of his name.  The minimally invasive aspect of his approach sounds intriguing and worth pursuing.  I'm all for the non-invasive part!!!  But has anyone actually had surgery with him and/or know of anyone who did?  I met with Dr. Chen at Allegheny, but he did not mention anything about another procedure being available there.  I am still in the "study and research and then do it all again" phase after having been diagnosed in late July with a 1.7 cm AN on the left side.  Any responses about Dr. Jho or the minimally invasive procedure for surgery will be appreciated.

Diagnosed 7/28/08 with 1.7 cm X .6 cm AN in left ear
Some hearing loss
Researching and praying to find a good doctor in northeast OH asap

Here's an old link from this forum; thought it might be helpful (?)

Retrosig 5/31/07 Drs. Battista & Kazan (Hinsdale, Illinois)
Left AN 3.0 cm (1.5 cm @ diagnosis 6 wks prior) SSD. BAHA implant 3/4/08 (Dr. Battista) Divino 6/4/08  BP100 4/2010 BAHA 5 8/2015

I don't actually "make" trouble..just kind of attract it, fine tune it, and apply it in new and exciting ways
