Nancy's (NL) Surgery Update
« on: August 06, 2008, 09:49:27 pm »
Just heard from Craig, Nancy's fiance -- Nancy (NL) is out of surgery and doing great.  The doctors avoided the facial nerve -- she believes she has her hearing -- and she's craving ice chips.  Great news.

David
Right ear tinnitus w/80% hearing loss 1985.
Left ear 40% hearing loss 8/07.
1.5 CM Translab Rt ear.
Sort of quiet around here.

David:

Let me add my thanks for the news about Nancy to the list.

If facial complications have been avoided and her hearing is relatively intact then this is magnificent news, indeed.  :)

Nancy has earned some ice chips!

Looking forward to further news as it becomes available.

Jim

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Thanks for the update David!

Nancy - Glad to hear you're doing so well.  Ice chips were my favorite thing the first couple of days - they seemed so satisfying in so many ways.  I hope things continue to go well for you.

Sending healing thoghts your way,
