Hi, TLC,

You have to shop around for the best price. I paid $2700 for everything in Januaary but I had higher quotes from other audiologists.

                           Eve
Right side AN (6x3x3 cm) removed in 1988 by Drs. Benjamin & Cohen at NYU (16 hrs); nerves involved III - XII.
Regrowth at the brainstem 2.5 cm removed by Dr.Shahinian in 4 hrs at SBI (hopefully, this time forever); nerves involved IV - X with VIII missing. No facial or swallowing issues.

I'm in the Boston area.  I paid $2900 - $2600 for the TransEar unit itself (which is refundable in the first 30? 60? days), and $300 for the audiologist fees.

2.3cmx1.6cmx1.4cm left AN

Turnkey, your price seems a tad high.  Mine was around $3,000. almost two years ago.  You definitely want an audiologist who has fitted a TransEar, allows call backs, and who is patient with people.  You will love TransEar.

I live in the Phiily area and the fee was 3200 which was for the Transear and the audiologist.  I really find it so very helpful.
2.5cm acoustic neuroma removed using middle fossa approach June 2002 by Dr. Brackmann at the House Clinic in LA.
Facial paralysis resolved to facial weakness.
Also have a benign meningioma (calcified) - no treatment required, just follow-up scans.
Received Transear Feb. 25, 2008.
