Post Gamma- growth or just swelling ?
« on: April 01, 2008, 11:52:44 pm »
My 12mth report, post gamma treatment, shows slight enlargement
But firstly - it can take some while for gamma to actually kill a tumour
- Ive heard 18mths is not unusual ?
AND - the $65,000 question
How ever can you tell the difference between a tumour
that is growing - and one which is swelling a bit
is it just the case that time will tell ?
Best Regards
Tony

Yeah tony, I remember reading somewhere www.pub.org? that tumors post radiation either swell 30%, stay the same by 30% and or shrink by 30%....I just had my second MRI post CK and it showed no change.... Stanford told me not to get too excited about anything, that it will take 3-5 years for this tumor to die.... I suspect the same time frame with gamma?

Hope all is well with you Mr. Hero member-take care, Annie :P
