Sadness hit yesterday.  Miss Martha Jane, the little blind, crooked tail, bad skin, Boston Terrier I adopted a few months back, passed away.  She fought a good fight and she was loved and she knew it and we kept her as comfortable as we could.  She looked at me yesterday and her eyes said it all.  I held her and she was gone.  She was a blessing in my life, even though it was for such a short time.
I guess in a week or so I'll go look for another that needs a good home.  I'm going to miss Miss Martha trotting around in her leopard print cape and her little flowered jersey dresses.  She was like a little girl who loved to play dress up.  She growled when we took her dress off only to start licking(us) like crazy when she got a clean one on.

Brenda,
I lost our Maggie (Boston T. also) a couple of years ago..... and it sounds like they (Martha Jane and Maggie) fought the good fight... and as I sit here, I see the 2 sisters in breed chasing each other around..... I send you MAJOR huggles during this time.... losing a member of our family as such can be devistating and my deepest condolences to you all.  She sounds like she was a real sweetie.

Miss Martha Jane and Ursa are up in Puppy Heaven with my Dad, which is where he said he was going. God Blesses the kind folks who open there homes up to elderly dogs in their last days.

Jeez Brendalu, the fun just never ends with you, ya wench! Now we get leopard-skin and red-ribbon trim with black-lace stockings to contend with? Like them wenches in that there Playboy magazine? OOOO-EEEE!!!!!
