I will have to check the volume switch....I could of sworn that I tried it and it didn't click.  Regardless, I do as suggested and open the battery door when it goes in the Dry and Store.  I wonder if my setting is just low...I made the audiologist turn it down a bit as there was an HVAC running in the office, so there was a lot of white noise to the TransEar when we were working on the settings.  But I can hear the music and words really well when I put an ipod earbud up to it, so I think it's like everyone elses.

Joe good thought!!!!!  Are your batteries lasting about the same on the BAHA?? 

jeanlea, dead on...like I said in the other thread, it's more noticible when you don't have it and need it, then when you do have it and have forgotten it's even there!

they last me about 7 to 10 days... I actually dont wear the BAHA as much now.. I got lucky with a new job sched .. 3 days at home 2 in the office... so its a least 3 days I dont need it (Why wear it when I'm alone in the house!,  heck .. I dont even get dressed half the time...  :o )

What a completely brilliant improvement!  Joe, have you told BAHA?  TransEar and BAHA could get the same feature from a third party!

I hope that someday , there are no moving parts .. there should be a seperate blue-tooth credit card shaped remote the that controls volume and on/off .. that way it does not have to be small ..(and expensive!) and since its bluetooth enabled -- it works great with cell phones -- why has nobody thought of this !!!

One other way I  use to see if the battery is low or dead... If I shut the battery door, turn the unit on and place the whole thing on a hard hollow box lid ( like a  jewlery box), the unit vibrates and jitters across the surface.  If the cell is down too low, the unit doesn't dance.  I call this my happy aide dance.  ;D
