Anyone experience eyelid twitching ???
« on: February 20, 2008, 03:00:29 pm »
My right lower eyelid, (AN side) has been twitching on and offf everyday for the past two weeks. not painful just annoying.
Anyone else experience this ??
Could this be AN related ??
I always thought it was stress or too much caffeine....
Thanks

I had the twitching pre surgery - thought it was due to fatigue.  It is AN related

me too, thought it was fatigue but its the tumour on the facial nerve.  I still get it, especially when I'm tired and stressed.

Thinking about eyelid twitching, I had UPPER eyelid twitching on the AN side pre-surgery number 1. It was years before the surgery but I know now that I already had the tumor.

            Eve
Right side AN (6x3x3 cm) removed in 1988 by Drs. Benjamin & Cohen at NYU (16 hrs); nerves involved III - XII.
Regrowth at the brainstem 2.5 cm removed by Dr.Shahinian in 4 hrs at SBI (hopefully, this time forever); nerves involved IV - X with VIII missing. No facial or swallowing issues.

It's referred to as a "blepharism" and yes, I get them quite often. Especially during and after an episode of conjunctivitis.
5cm x 5cm left-side A.N. partially removed via Middle Fossa 9/21/2005 @ Mass General.
Compounded by hydrocephalus. Shunt installed 8/10/2005.
