I just found this article written by a patient and it describes our "little friend" and the naughtyness it can inflict post treatment.  The depth perception in your most excellent account of your story had me interested and I investigated.

You have probably read this one though or maybe some others like it, but he does mention in great detail why and how our vision can be involved.

I'm sorry, but the way you described your experience had me literally laughing out loud. How nice when we can laugh at ourselves, isn't it?
