PT

Can anyone in seattle recommend a good PT for face? I am not having any luck finding one. My ENT doc didn't say anything about PT my regular doc said it was a good idea? Does it really work? Is it worth it? Any suggestions would be great.  ???

You might want to re-post this one - only 18 views suggests
maybe some thought was spam or similar(?)
(and dont we all love spam these days ?)
Try under a full title perhaps ?
I think you mean some form of physical exercise to
help the face get moving again ?
(check out on the net  "the loss of face by diane farragher (?))
she is a keen advocate of facial exercises
to help the rebuild process
best regards
Tony

red, im in Wenatchee, I just had my an removed @ SBI in LA. and face is doing ok, albeit somewhat numb.
For motor-post op a week I was having probs with my left eye not closing by itself-now its half way there, and tearing is about 50%..
For lip Motor, mouth and such
I have been

1. Chewing bubble Yum and blowing bubbles-as much as I can.
2.  Gargling water and swooshing it back and forth between each side to strengthen motor. air too.
3. Trying to blow balloons.
I was looking into PT strictly for vestibular rehab, but am waiting for a month or two to see if balance comes back by itself- I am already driving. about 26 days post op.
I also am trying b12 as methylcobalamin lozenge.
somebody mentioned St. Johns wort oil mixed with som type of oil or facial massage, there are many other homeopathic txs you can research on the net, and I will not post them here sine I am not a Doc.

you also may want to research if speech pathologist can help with facial issues.
5cm left AN from IAC to cerebellum/brainstem.
Zapped out by Shahinian @ SBI over the course of 6.5 hrs on Monday 11/27 2006.
