I'm not a physician and cannot give medical advice. All I can do is share my personal experience. I don't want to speak against your specialist, but it seems that the stress I was going through did seem to make my symptoms worse. I never documented the severity of my symptoms with the severity of my stress. That would have been helpful if I had done that. But it sure seems like my symptoms were worse on stressful days. And your mileage may vary (as they say). What is true for me, might not be true for you. Our journeys, while similar, are often different.
In terms of alternative therapies, Michele is probably the best person to speak to that. I believe in alternative therapies, but for my dizziness, I sought out a qualified vestibular therapist. She helped me a lot by having me repeat a number of exercises. The other thing I did (which my therapist never recommended) was I watched exercise videos with my eyes closed. At first, it was challenging to do without falling, but it eventually seemed to help with the lightheaded feeling.
