People who had this tumor a long time ago often have moved on and don't post here. So I would like to say to newbies: October 10, 2022 will be 11 years since my treatment with gamma knife for a 2.3 cm left side acoustic neuroma pressing on brain stem quite a bit. During those years I've adjusted to the new normal: tinnitus, one sided deafness, balance issues etc. Tumor is there but has not grown. I get MRI's, without the controversial contrast, every two years. We've gone on with our lives. Son graduated high school, Ivy college, masters, is working, has a nice girl, husband retired from being a doctor and took up painting and spending lots of time with me. Cat still living and loving us. Life is good. It will be ok. Don't stress. Wishing you all well. Dee-dee
