Dr. Friedman--Responsiveness post-treatment?
« on: August 09, 2018, 01:23:36 pm »
Hello All!

I'm looking at having a translabyrinthine surgery from Dr. Friedman.  I have been so happy with their quick and easy access to answers and help.   Could I get feedback on how easy it is to ask questions and get assistance after the surgery--long-term?

Hi, I had Translab surgery with Dr. Friedman and Schwartz in July and can attest that they were both very responsive and attentive post surgery. We had to stay in San Diego for 10 days for the normal post op appointments and recovery and my wife was in contact via text and phone with Dr. Friedman several times a day to address a small complication that I had. You might want to look at my recent post in the surgery section with my 2.5 week update for a more complete discussion. I strongly recommend that team.
Diagnosed 1.5cm x .08cm x 1.1cm AN right ear 5/2018
Total hearing loss in right ear at 5/2018 and significant balance issues.
Translab surgery Friedman and Schwartz UCSD 7/18/18
80% tumor removal due to facial nerve adhesion
Balance issues solved, no facial nerve issues.

Hi TK .....

Drs. Friedman and Schwartz did my translab surgery 7 years ago, when they were both still at House Ear Clinic.  I can attest to the fact that to this day Dr. Friedman answers my emails/calls quickly, usually within 24 hours.  I can say without a doubt that he is the most caring, attentive doctor I have ever had in my life.

Great team.

I did surgery on 9/18 and their team setup all appointment for me since I live in La Jolla nearby hospital. Dr and their team are great helpers and always response quickly.

I’m 1 year out from Translab with Friedman and Schwartz and can attest that Dr. Friedman is amazingly responsive. He responds to our text messages from Hawaii within hours. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
