Nerve Pain after Cyber Knife
« on: October 18, 2017, 05:21:37 pm »
Hi,
I haven't been on in a long time but I need to ask a question. I had Cyber Knife about 14 months ago for a 1.3 CM AN. I had one session. I am now having Trigeminal nerve pain on the ear and facial area. It's a burning pain and it also feels like a rock pressing against the side of my face near my ear. Over the counter meds don't help at all. I use ice packs and it helps a little. Does anyone else have this kind of pain after radiation?

Thanks, MG

How many MRIs have you had since treatment 14 months ago. It would be nice to know how size is varying.

ANSydney,
I had one after 3 months and the tumor changed color to white. No change in size. Then at one year, tumor changed colors to a darker color and there was slight shrinkage by less then 1 mm which the doctor said was insignificant. I am hoping for more but will take a long time I believe.

At least it doesn't look like growth.
