Restasis
« on: March 18, 2016, 04:23:27 pm »
Has anyone suffering from eye due to a numb cornea tried restasis? My cornea specialist is suggesting them as both my eyes are dry with the numb one being much worse. I'm going to another doctor in a little over a week and see what they think as well. Has anyone has any adverse reactions?  It's always a concern that while trying to fix one problem it may result in another far worse problem. Thank you all for your help.

A few years ago someone on this board said they were going to give Restasis a try.  I asked an eye doctor if he thought it would work for me.  The doctor told me that I could try Restasis but didn't think it would work for me and could possibly make my dry eye worse.  I decided not to try Restasis and was glad I didn't try the drops after later reading on this board that Restasis made the eye problems worse.  Please check into the Blood Serum, Scleral Lens and daily use lens posts, there is relief for your dry eye, you just have to try different things tell you find what works for you.  Jill

Thank you Jill.  I feel like every time I go to my it eat specialist he tells me something else. First he thought I should try the blood serum but then I went back for a recheck and he saw my other eye was also dry and said I should try restasis. I'm going to another specialist next week at NYU. I'm not going to do anything until I see him and see what he thinks. I'm also scheduled for gamma knife in April so I'm also so worried things are going to get worse.
