Duke Soccer Player with AN, back on the field
« on: October 18, 2006, 06:44:26 pm »
Did anyone see the little article in SI about the soccer player who had an AN? She was back playing after only a few months! I sure wouldn't want a ball bouncing off my expensive skull.

I found a link http://www.uscho.com/collegesports/womens_soccer/uid,BZN100520063516664/DukesMcDonaldReturnsToFieldAfterBrainSurgery.html

That is absolutely amazing--goes to show you how young people can bounce back from losing that balance nerve!

Hi Pembo,

Thanks for posting that awesome article! I can't believe she scored a goal using her head. I still get nervous when people hug and kiss me, I make sure it's on the opposite side of my AN surgery. It just goes to show that with a lot of work and determination we can just about get back to where we were before surgery! Thanks again,  Ann
