39th Month MRI - All Stable
« on: May 14, 2013, 07:52:11 pm »
So, 39 months post surgery, 14 months post FSR. Bob is stable and unchanging Next MRI in a year. Radiation Oncologist says I don't need to see him any more. I asked if it was of value to him to see me again. "Oh yes, You've seen one prostate, on breast, with cancer, they are all pretty much the same. You are different. I learn a lot from you."

Yay me! I'm a special case!  ;D

Neurosurgeon and radiologist all agree on the report.

Meanwhile, former daughter-in-law and my two grandsons have moved back in with us. I've made it clear that they are to commit to staying four years until she is finished with college and grad school and teaching. I don't want to do this again. Youngest son has graduated college. It has been an exciting a couple of weeks.

Also, should note that I have an appointment next month to begin the process of reconstructing my nose. Left nostril is almost fully collapsed from the synkenesis.

I wish you all a life as good, or better, than mine.

Hi, Tod ~

Thanks for updating us with the good news (3 year MRI report).  I wish you all the best with your reconstruction surgery as well as your family situation.

Jim
4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.
