The decadron made me feel really depressed and I had blurred vision.  Almost impossible to read as the day would go on.

Trish, I had to take high dose prednisone a couple of years ago for pneumonia and found that I had horrible blurry vision at the beginning of the taper when the dose was high.  The reason?  My blood sugar was high, very high.  I had been taking Metformin for type 2 diabeties for about a year, but never had blood sugars that high (390) even before starting the Metformin.  One side effect of all of the steroids is increased blood sugar.  That may have been the cause of your blurry vision, as even non-diabetics can have blood sugar increases with steroid use.  I am just assuming that if I need steroids at some point in this journey, I will take insulin.  Since I have NO hearing in my non neuroma ear, I will do whatever I have to to keep what hearing I do have in my neuroma ear.
